CONGRATS, NEVADA!

Congratulations to the state of Nevada for unanimously passing permanent rules for the state’s adult-use cannabis industry.

This is a big step forward for those making a living in this burgeoning industry and an even bigger deal for those who rely on the safe and state-legal purchase of cannabis products. This is yet another example of state elected officials actually listening to their constituents, taking control of their own destiny, and taking full advantage of found tax revenues.

Of course, cannabis remains federally illegal with no signs of abatement. While it’s great to see that yet another state has embraced the inevitable, the hard reality is that the federal government stills lags behind. As organizations like the NCIA do critically important work lobbying Congress and the Trump Administration, self-regulatory organizations like the NACB help to mitigate the risks of federal interference. While critically important, it’s not enough to merely adhere to state regulations. License holders must go above and beyond what they are required to do. Our founding members get this and have seen the value that membership in the NACB brings to their businesses.

If you agree that going the extra mile is the only way to truly protect your livelihood, then please visit us at www.NACB.com. We’d love to hear from you and tell you more about how NACB Membership can protect you during this time of uncertainty. But for now, let’s take a minute to celebrate what happened in Las Vegas today. With every state that joins the club, it becomes harder and harder for the federal government to ignore the will of the people.
